Wiring a winch is often a task that many would dread, even more then having to mount the winch. When in fact in most cases it is quite simple, and it certainly is with the Sherpa 4x4 winches. It is often more a case of confidence in your own ability and here at Sherpa 4x4 we want you to have the ability to do so.

In this light we have put together a simple video on the basics of wiring up your winch. This video combined with the instructional booklet in the winch box should make installing your new winch a breeze. 

This instructional video is based around wiring the Steed 17,000Lb winch and Colt 12,000lb 4x4 winch, in both 12V and 24V, however the concept is adaptable to many other brands available.
